Copycat
A covert word-based social deduction game between Civilians and Imposters
How To Play
- Look at your assigned word at the top of the screen.
- Everyone says one clue word that is related to the core word (not the word on your screen), then votes someone out anonymously.
-
Civilians
- Have the same core word.
- The word Civilians say should be related enough to the core word that other Civilians know that you know it, but vague enough so that the Imposters can't guess it.
-
Imposters
- Undercovers get a different, but core-related word.
- Informants have the core word while a guessing imposter is alive. If only informants remain, they lose the civilian word and may guess.
- Copycat can scramble a specific person's word.
- Taskmaster assigns taskings during the word phase. Failing taskings can reveal letters to imposters.
- Coordinator can force a player (including themselves) to speak last next round.
- Core word changes every time a player is eliminated.
- Civilians win by voting to eliminate Imposters. Imposters win by reaching player parity — or correctly guessing a core word when allowed.
